There's something so romantic about men in their early 20s.
They're all super skinny, completely lean, very strong.
They grow beards because that's what you do when you go on journeys like this.
What they did was they went through France, Monaco, Germany, Austria, Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, Malaya, as it was then, and finally arrived in Singapore.
It's 18,000 miles, averaging approximately 16 miles an hour.
And if you watch his video, you'll see things that you cannot believe.

They took Buicks and Cadillacs, modified them into what can only be described as trucks, American trucks.

So slightly aerodynamic.
And just passengers went from Damascus to Baghdad across desert roads in this.
These boys kept up with these Nairn trucks.
It's incredible.
When they got to bridges in Burma...
