Today, we have lots of celeb news to get into from Rihanna back on the stage to a Vampire Diary star's wedding that I am equal parts devastated by but also very happy for him and much more.
But first, it is always a sad day when we must say goodbye to a person that has touched many hearts, both in person or on screen.
And today, tributes are flooding in for an actor you have almost definitely never heard a single bad word about.
And that is beloved Kiwi actor Sam Neill, who has passed away at age 78.
Sam was best known for playing Dr. Alan Grant in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park franchise, but
But he was a very versatile actor, appearing in more than 50 films over a five decade career.
Sam's death was announced in a statement shared on his personal Instagram.
His family described his death as sudden and unexpected without revealing the cause.
But it was confirmed that Sam remained cancer free.
He had actually only recently revealed that he was cancer free after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of blood cancer a few years ago.
Now to his work, Sam got his start in the 70s.
His breakout role was the film Sleeping Dogs, which was actually the first New Zealand film to open in the US.
He went on to appear in a really wide variety of movies, including My Brilliant Career, The Hunt for Red October, and the Oscar-winning film The Piano.
His 50-year career also saw him work opposite Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Robert Downey Jr., Martin Sheen, and Sean Connery.
The list goes on.
When Neil landed the role of dinosaur-wrangling paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant, a role that was actually originally offered to Harrison Ford, he became famous on the international stage.
He also reprised the role in sequels Jurassic Park 3 and Jurassic World Domination.
Peaky Blinders fans will also recognise him as the ruthless Chief Inspector Chester Campbell.
Now, notably, he also starred opposite Meryl Streep twice, once in the 80s biopic Evil Angels and also in the film Plenty.
