You know, I learned about fly when I was 13, when I went to a layers, uh, camp in the summer.
Right.
So I feel maybe that allowed me to, uh, find ways to stop the puck.
Maybe it's without always been thinking about the technique, you know?
That was his brother, François Allaire.
Okay, okay.
So he was with Patrick Ward in Montreal, and that's when Patrick was playing butterfly, right?
So as a young kid watching the Canadian always, and that's what I wanted to be and do.
So that's how I kind of picked it up.
I think maybe like Tretiak back in the day, he might have done it a few, a little bit, you know, but Patrick was like, yeah, I think he was one of the first ones to actually really push and do it consistently, you know, and I think that a lot of French goalies copied that way too afterwards and it worked out pretty good.

Yeah, so then, you know, once you figure it out, you can go down on your knees and you cover more the low part of the net.
And I think a lot of goals were scored to, or used to be maybe scored more on the ice.
So that was a way to control it better and, you know, stop more pucks.
He had big gear, right?
Like oversize.
And that came, I don't know, a little bit out.
