And the second is election denialism.

I mean, one of the big lies of this era is obviously lies Donald Trump tells about voting.

But one of the other lies is that somehow Donald Trump and the Republicans care about voter fraud.

They don't care about voter fraud.

Like oftentimes our response is van voter fraud is vanishingly rare, which is true.

There's no evidence that elections are affected by voter fraud, that voter suppression is much more serious, true.

But one of the things we have to also be clear about is what you just saw, which is that Donald Trump's plan for elections is to make it harder for you to vote and easier for him to cheat.

And so if Donald Trump had a choice between a completely free and fair election that Republicans lost.

Or a election that he could rig the rules and and and cheat in, he would choose the cheating every day of the week.

Okay.

So I think those are two different things, right?

There's the expecting and the preparing for I think to this point I expect that uh that we will win, that the pro democracy side will win, the states will win, the nonprofit organizations uh uh will win.

And I and I say that because uh I think that whatever the conservative Supreme Court may think about the merits and that will impact, for example, twenty twenty eight, I I think that they are gonna observe the pottery barn rule, which is

Is that they don't want to break it and then own it.

And if they were to rule in favor of the Postal Service, the fact is that you would have entire states that would have their election systems broken.

I mean, every state would be harder to vote significantly, but you have states like Washington State, like Arizona, like frankly, Utah, uh, Colorado, or Oregon, Florida, you know, where there are just lots and lots of mail-in ballots or process.

predominantly or in some of those states entirely vote by mail.

So I think I I I sort of expect that we are going to win and and every day that dr that goes by, that harm becomes greater and it becomes more likely that that's what the court is heading towards.

In terms of what we have to prepare for, look, we have to prepare for everything.
