Yeah, they might speak out.

They might vouch for election equipment, which is one of the things that they play a role in.

That is reportedly one of the things that has irritated people around Donald Trump is that they have certified election equipment as being accurate.

And, you know, he may want to say that it's faulty.

And you're exactly right.

That's among the reasons.

Yeah.

So, look, I think that what people need to be prepared for is that, number one, we're going to have elections.

Donald Trump does not have the authority to cancel elections.

You know, there's been a lot of talk about Donald Trump declaring some kind of state of emergency and, you know, taking over elections.

Let me be clear.

Donald Trump can declare whatever he wants.

He can declare his arch is the greatest arch ever and that the reflecting pool is sparkling blue rather than algae green.

But it doesn't make it true.

And the Constitution gives Congress, I'm sorry, gives the states the power to set the time, place and manner of election subject only to legislation enacted by Congress.

It gives the president no role.

So, number one, he can't cancel elections.

That said, there are a lot of things he can do that will make it harder for people to vote and easier for Republicans afterwards to cheat.

So, for example, he can deploy federal officers, you know, ICE and CPB, not just at polls, but around polls, close streets, cause, you know, concern.

He can withhold some federal funding and threaten to withhold federal funding, which you just saw him do if states don't change their laws.
