Beautifully engaged process of finding stories all around the country.
And we are we have stories that are urban, are suburban, are rural.
And that's really important to me that we have kind of geographical scope.
We have different regions of the country well represented in our in our stories.
And we also have stories that represent the cross-section of race, class, sex, gender, and what I call zip codes.
Those are kind of tropes that kind of inform my point of view.
And I'm a real believer that you know education equity is in play here and that the gifted narrative in the twenty-first century is something that actually is quite important.
Um, in a country that does not value its smart people, in a country where a president, you know, is sort of very anti-intellectual.
you know, we are m more and more facing a crisis, you know, with our education system and our education priorities and
You know, the movie started to take on a whole new importance in the Trump era.
Um and so it's uh it's been this long journey of wrapping my arms around the stories that I want to tell.
And um just to kind of give you a sense of where we're at.
We're about, I don't know, we're about sixty percent filmed.
Um we s I pretty much have all the stories identified.
Um we're still fundraising, um, we're always looking for supporters and partners and sponsors, but but we've really done this kind of
very deep connection with the what I call the official gifted community and both stakeholders, but then we've really broadened who we're talking to in terms of um stakeholders to really make sure that we're connecting on lots of different levels of of civil society.
You know, as I was developing the film, um, I encountered twice exceptionality.
Okay.
I never knew about it before.
Um, most people don't know what it is.
