Uh definitely thought that it was a possibility with Montreal.

Once I started doing a little bit of digging in terms of the relationship that he had with Martin Saint Louis, with Jeff Gorton, um s a lot of the training staff that's come over from the New York Rangers, the fit started making a lot more sense.

Um and then came the thirty five plus contract.

uh set up in terms of how the Canadians would be able to make that work fit in terms of performance bonuses and getting him the money that he would want.

And I think it started to make sense.

And then we saw the announcement that came on Sunday and I think or sorry, Saturday and I think everybody was very uh very excited to see it.

Not without uh a little bit of resistance from uh Canadians faithful.
