And I have a question.
Do you think your skills on City Council would make you a better mayor than an outsider?
With your relationships with staff, working relationship with the city manager and the city attorney, what about council priorities that you created?
Who would know that better than you?
I could go on and on, but that's why I'm supporting Mayor Pro Tem James Mitchell.
Because when you vote for James, you're not just voting for the next mayor, but you're voting for you.
Thank you.
Sure.
Thank you, Council Member Johnson.
So my understanding is that this is the way historically the city has handled these public hearings, with the exception of during COVID.
So the governor at that time said,
provided the opportunity for jurisdictions to do exactly what Council Member Mayfield is saying.
After that was lifted, we just went back to the previous process.
But if it's the will of this council to do something differently, you can do something differently.
On the business agenda, again, with the exception of COVID, this is the way that we've handled these particular hearings.
But, again, if the council would like to have a two-step process, that's something that the council can do.
Thank you.
Could I ask?
But 27% commitment on small business alone is huge in comparison to 10,000 square feet of land.
Mayor, members of council, I think we have this parcel on the screen.
