When concerns arise in our community, we work together to address them.

The CMPD can't do it alone.

Community relations can't do it alone.

We've tried to create a better path for everyone involved.

We remain committed to bringing a community perspective that helps strengthen outcomes, improve relationships, and build bridges by listening.

At the same time, this partnership is also about recognizing and uplifting the good work that we all do.

When I say that, sometimes there are opportunities where the CMPD can't tell their story.

And I think that's where we step in.

We're able to highlight and uplift those stories.

The good work that often goes unseen.

Tonight we heard highlights of meaningful work CMPD officers do every day.

We wouldn't know about it.

And the lasting impact it has on our community members.

This event is an opportunity to celebrate those acts of service and connection.

I want to thank many people who made tonight possible.
