I mean, if you go to the LBJ library in Austin, Texas, it is literally a temple to LBJ's presidency.

And Hoover's is quite small.

It is very humble.

It represents his Quaker roots and the humility that he very much felt and embodied.

Every president gets to tell their story the way they want to tell it.

And ultimately, there has been this evolving question about to what degree should the taxpayers be on the hook for that.

And so Reagan was really the first to create a massive foundation for his.

I mean, he had like a $400 million endowment by the time he died.

Nancy continued raising to endow that presidential library, and the Bushes and then the Clintons and then the Bushes again.

And each president has sort of evolved the way they both present their story and the way they fund the continuing operations of their presidential library.

But it is the first four presidential libraries, Eisenhower, FDR, Hoover, and Truman, that really created a template for

how these other ones should improve upon it.

And for those four presidents who, if they're lucky, have completely obsessed descendants who want to continue to tell their story, but most don't.

And it's a really hard thing to go about and raise money for a presidential library for dead presidents.

I mean, the Obamas have billions of dollars in a huge endowment and they will have the benefit of young daughters to continue to raise money and support the operations for many, many years.
