She cannot elect for a bench trial and a bench trial is a trial simply before a judge.
Under our laws, it's got to be tried by a jury of twelve.
So if the district attorney
reduces the charges to either second degree murder or manslaughter, then Lindsay Clancy herself would be able to choose a bench trial.
So that would mean she would have the whole case tried before a judge.
Then you're not gonna have a mistrial.
A judge is gonna decide one way or another.
And in my opinion, I think it's more likely that a judge will find Lindsay Clancy not guilty by lack of criminal responsibility and she would ultimately go to a mens mental institution.
Yes, I really believe so.
And and that's the good thing that's come out of all of this because now women may realize that if I'm having intrusive thoughts of harming my children, I need to go get help.
And I think, you know, it if you're really seeking help and you commit yourself or maybe a family member commits you, and by the way, I will say this.
Postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis are they're real it's real.
I do hope that um Lindsay Clancy's family will will have peace someday.
I can't imagine losing those those three beautiful grandchildren or children.
It's just incredibly heartbreaking.
