The average age of a Latino voter is 31.
So you can imagine why they care about reproductive choice if you're a 31-year-old woman, regardless of where you come from.
And so that's why that issue really resonates.
But the issue of housing, believe it or not, that's the number one issue among Latinos, even if you're between the ages of 18 and 29.
In all my time doing this, I have never seen a young person raise their hand and say housing was a number one issue.
In all our scenarios, that's exactly what they're telling us.
And so it's an opportunity for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to talk about the economic policies.
What are they going to do next time?
Because it's not fact on that they're defecting to go to the Republican side.
What we're concerned with is that they're going to show their vote by not going out.
So it's really important that these door knocking keeps happening.
It's important the phone calls keep happening.
But the fact that she's going on Telemundo, the fact that she's going to be in Houston, the fact that she's going to be in Houston tomorrow is not lost on me because it may not be a vote for her, but it absolutely helps Colin Aldrin defeat Ted Cruz.
There is a huge population of Latino and young people there that if they get the right messaging, they will go out.
But she does have to focus more and more.
If you were to ask, what would my counsel be to the campaign?
Focus it only on economic issues.
What would you do for them?
Tell them that the rent is too damn high.
Remind them that Donald Trump is a slumlord.
