But we traditionally have learned what the symptoms of a heart attack are.
And it's the way they present to men and not women.
But even you were talking about research and the underfunding research in women's health, I just saw an article today, it was by a doctor online, and he was saying that there has been money and research put into the use of oestradiol, which is oestrogen, in men with prostate cancer to see does it reduce their hot flashes, etc., that they may experience when they're undergoing prostate cancer therapy, which is wonderful, and we would never take that away from them.
But...
We don't have the long term data on, say, the safety of years and years of oestrogen therapy in women, you know, right up to death.
How does it affect their cognitive function?
Will it affect it positively or negatively?
How will it affect their overall heart health?
Like with the Women's Health Initiative study that was done many, many years ago,
It only took a cohort of women that were much older than the women today that are on HRT.
The HRT that was used were synthetic, not body identical like now.
So we don't really have any answers for women because women, it used to be like stay on the lowest dose of HRT possible for the shortest time possible.
Now we know that if women are feeling great on it, they should potentially stay on it.
But yet doctors are, you know, themselves at risk for going, oh, yes, just stay on it for, you know, however long you want, because there isn't the long term data.
But there'll never be the long term data until the money is put into the research.
But the money isn't put into the research because estradiol isn't a brand new drug.
