It's been really physically limiting for me.
And that's just been a rude awakening of just having to process that as a through hiker.
And some through hikers probably can still backpack and be fine.
Maybe if we lived at lower elevation, we could do a 20 mile backpacking trip and it'd be fine.
But I think living at such high elevation, it's really taken a toll on my body.
She actually is one Western States.
She's won Leadville twice.
She's actually set the record for Leadville.

This one was like eight months pregnant.
I'm like, fuck this.

Like I use, like I probably would want to, but to compare an elite ultra runner, like I know they were trying to be encouraging to women, but she was just kind of like, you can do more than you think you can do when you're pregnant.
And I'm like, that just really hurt.
because I could do so much before I was pregnant.
