Well, not completely, but narrowly, but defeated nonetheless.
The polls had her ten points ahead.
I think that it's a I think it's a symptom, really.
I think it's a symptom of Democrats' frustration with the Democratic Party, with the utter ineptitude of Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer as leaders of the of the House and Senate.
So a reflection of frustration at the the, as Carl said, the lack of spying amongst Democrats, their unwillingness to defend democracy, because it's one thing for Donald Trump to trample all over it, but I don't see the Democrats making any great fight.
They're doing a whole lot of hand-wringing, but they're just not being effective in any meaningful way.
All of the effective um resistance is coming from civil society.
So I I think that they are pushing against that.
But I think the main thing they're pushing against is.
the so the inequality in America at the moment, and this is where they are getting some traction.
That, you know, if you look at the what the top point zero point one percent have versus, you know, fifty, sixty, seventy percent of the country, I think that's the the discontent that may be fueling some of them.
But overall, they're never going to be a Tea Party movement.
They're never going to and they're never certainly going to be a MAGA type movement.
They they're they just haven't got the legs for that.
You know, uh this to me i is just it's just an appalling story.
So we've seen the brutality of ICE and the way that they've treated people in even small children and and you know, the the the citizens who've been shot dead and uh others who've been beaten, wounded, etcetera.
And the latest proposal is to kit them out with these electric shock gloves, which deliver a shock which is about three times the voltage of
A US power socket.
Now, uh, anyone who uh gets a shock from a power socket knows how d uh painful it is, it will be about three times that.
And what uh it the way it works is if you put the glove on somebody's skin, on their bare skin, you will immediately give them a shock that's so painful it will debilitate them.
