and no way that we can discern through cold reading or, you know, visual clues or listening to someone's voice over the telephone.
I get the biggest kick out of the cynics.
I don't even call them skeptics.
The cynics, the atheists, we don't believe this.
It's all, you know, gobbledygook crowd.
And they have a right to believe that.
I mean, they have a right to believe in nothing, you know, and stand for nothing, you know, and represent nothing.
Nothing.
and be as deep as nothing um but uh you know people tell me well you're cold reading so i was doing a reading for this woman and it was over the telephone and her husband's spirit came through and i described him and i said octopus you show me an octopus
She goes, oh, my God.
And that's always good when they respond with, oh, my God.
she said, we used to live in Belize, and we lived on the water, and we would catch lobsters, and we would put them in this little pool, which was right adjacent to the canal that we lived on.
And one morning, my husband and I came out.
We were having our coffee, and we looked, and he says, oh, my God, look, there's an octopus that slithered up out of the canal and was grabbing one of their lobsters.
And she said, do you think that's what he's talking about?
And so I replied, well, unless you have another octopus story, I'm kind of thinking, yeah.
And so, I mean, if I would have said, oh, a dog, a dog.
All right.
Most people, you know, have dogs or have a dog story, but an octopus story.
