weekend at the beach and they're pitching tents in the backyard and you know and and all this and and my parents were grilling burgers for all the guys and it kind of got around that well we hear your mom's a psychic and so mom sat down she goes okay and she started doing readings like one after the other and watching these guys their jaws drop and their pupils

and they're like oh my god how does she know this and

And it was hilarious.

It was hilarious.

So it went from being, you know, they thought we were kooks to, oh my God.

Well, and you have to be careful about invading people's space.

I think that what you're doing by asking people, that's the proper way of going about it.

Because being an attorney, I'm always sensitive to ethics

confidentiality.

And there's a lot of people, particularly young and inexperienced mediums, that think because I can do this,

That means I always need to do this and just thrust it upon people.

So let's say you're walking through Home Depot and there's somebody there and you run up to them and say, you know, your dead husband wants you to know this.

And that's inappropriate to do because that woman may be there to pick out garden supplies.

not suddenly deal with her grief issues yeah to just read people um without without getting their permission it is an invasion of privacy so there is a a code of ethics if you will and uh you know it's like these tv shows that show like somebody runs into a laundromat and says hey i'm a medium blah blah blah blah blah and starts flinging a reading at them and what people have to realize is that reality television is anything but reality

Because when you get 10 different camera angles, close-ups, perfect lighting, perfect makeup, perfect sound, that sequence took probably about eight hours to film.

There is about a 20-person camera crew there, and everybody in that sequence has to sign releases.

Then it gets edited down to a 90-second clip.

And people think that that's somehow real.

I mean, seriously, you're going to get just regular bystanders with no financial compensation to stand around for eight hours and get filmed?

Yeah.
