And it's really interesting then to start digging into what are the other areas.

So let's do that.

So let's start off with Earth observation.

So Earth observation is a market where from space you're able to look down at Earth and use a different type of sensor or many different types of sensors to tell you different things about what's going on on the Earth.

So there are just endless applications for how this can be used.

Let me zero in on one of our portfolio companies, which provides a really good basis for this discussion.

So this company is called Ice Eye.

It's a Finnish company.

And what they have done is they've developed a miniaturized satellite with a miniaturized radar.

And...

And what they do with those satellites is they're able to, from space, look down at Earth and see something that's the size of a pizza from space day or night.

And they can do that through any kind of weather and any kind of cloud cover.

And they've got around 70 satellites that are operational right now.

And they're able to see every square meter of Earth every hour.

And what they then do is they then do change detection using AI algorithms to determine how that square meter of Earth has changed in that last hour.

And they're then able to build up a picture of change in the world at a level of resolution that's never been seen before.

So what happened on that spot an hour ago, two hours ago, 10 hours ago, a day ago, a week ago, a month ago, a year ago, and then effectively to be able to leverage that digital information to provide insights of what has happened or what might happen going forwards.

So right now, the big use case for that is defense.

But every industry will use that as just a baseline data in the same way that every single industry and every single company uses GPS in a myriad of different ways.
