And I think while the US has made great strides in that over the last three decades or so, there's still a long road for them to go on.
Six years out of the top European game is a long time for any manager.
If it was to be that, if he was going to do another World Cup cycle, I mean.
So, you know, he still lives in London.
It's always felt like a bit of a marriage of convenience.
The cachet that there is, as you say, being the US manager at the US World Cup is huge.
I'm sure there's other benefits as well.
But I still feel like he's a top level coach.
He still has that reputation.
He still has the ability to go for big jobs around Europe and get them.
And so why would you give that up to wait around four years for another World Cup?
