I haven't been involved in any of the negotiations.
But to me, the most important sentence in this letter, and I read the whole letter yesterday.
To me, the letter is too verbose.
Honestly, there's one key sentence in this letter.
I'm going to read it to you.
We have been told directly by state leadership our project will not be a priority in 2026.
That is just irresponsible on the part of the state leadership.
That is just wrong on their part.
I get that there are lots of responsibilities, but to say for an entire year we're not going to make it a priority?
Are they out of their minds?
Do they want to just open the door?
I have seen when teams have moved.
I've been involved in as many moves as probably anybody.
in the country, in the different sports.
And there is a common spread, a common trait each time.
And it's one of two.
It's either that there's a breakdown in the communication, and that could happen.
Personal reasons, like happened with the Houston mayor, with the then owner of the Houston Oilers, there was animosity.
It could happen because the politician is running for higher office and has other priorities, or it could happen because the team owner feels there's greener pastures somewhere else.
And we've seen that as well.
