They were off to the races.
The investigators didn't care about any other lead.
It were focused like a laser on Gary.
And because the prosecutors were so fixated on Gary, they lost all kinds of opportunities.
I tell you that story because Scott was well aware of that.
He understood completely.
Living in Modesto, Gary Condit was a beloved congressman.
