They're already behind most, if not all, of the field.

I just want to see Billy Donovan, if everything is even.

I want him to be happy, first of all.

He's earned the position that he's in.

But the best thing for the Chicago Bulls right now...

is probably Billy Donovan walking away.

Because that way, Michael Reinsdorf is not held to this ridiculous standard of having a top basketball executive be forced to handcuff himself to a coach that wasn't necessarily his first, second, third, or fourth choice.

For Billy to basically just tell us in all of that that he said, check in with me next week because I still got to have this conversation.

And you heard him mention John Paxson specifically, the guys who will be in charge of this search and working with this search firm.

Billy, I don't know that he knows what he's going to do.
