So you heard me say this earlier.
I said this on Five on It.
I asked about it with Kevin Fishbane.
The Bears, and I'm just going to keep saying this until I'm blue in the face, and I won't change and nothing ever changes, so I might be running in a circle here.
But I still think that to establish a run game would be crucial in this.
It would keep the Rams from being on the field as long.
It would give the Bears a little bit of...
extension of drives early if they can establish it.
I think it would calm down that pass rush that Kevin Fishbane alluded to.
As we know, Jared Vers is excellent at his job.
He's not the only one who knows how to sack a quarterback on that Rams team.
So when I consider the best way to quell an active pass rush and keep an effective offense off the field, run the football is what I'm going to go to.
Byron Young is the other pass rusher who I'm worried about on the Rams.
I feel like that combination is going to be pretty effective if the Bears decide to become one-dimensional and pass too much in this game.
That's what I'm hoping doesn't happen.
So that is my key to the game.
No, I don't have a yardage in mind.
I just think when it comes to not only developing rhythm, but establishing some type of possession, keeping the other team off the field, that's what I would like to see happen.
