In other words, on the current trajectory, as as as long as it's been since the Democrat has won a statewide race in Texas, as much as Tallarico has said many things that would in a normal cycle disqualify him for Texas voters.
He will win unless the Republicans can change the current trajectory of the race.
And that's true in a lot of other races.

I have there's not been a single cycle presidential or or midterm where I have given Democrats a chance to win a statewide race in Texas.

Well, I wasn't even open to it, but it's happening now unless the Republicans fix it.

It is another thing I want to do as a focus group in Texas amongst regular independents, independents who regularly vote Republican and why they're voting for Tallarica are open to them, because I don't really understand how they're setting aside

The very reason, as you laid out, that the Cornyn folks said, don't nominate this guy.

He has won statewide races, but since he's won statewide races, he's done a lot of things that are morally challenged, ethically questionable, and he's not handling that well.
His dealings with the press have been awkward.
