So, you know, and I think we can also look to the way that this tax legislation works out to the extent that we know the broadest part of the benefits go to one corporations and two wealthier Americans.
And so credit Americans for being smart enough to recognize that.
to understand that it's possible that the broadest part of the American public is not being well served by this legislation.
And that's what the polling on the tax bill shows as well.
No, you're right.
Older boomers, members of Generation X, that is those age 37 to 52, and what we tend to call the silent generation, 72 and up, most optimistic.
Millennials were most likely to say that there was no impact on them.
Millennials are those aged 18 to 36.
And the top answer among millennials was that they felt that there was a negative outcome.
And again, you think about how varying estimates of at least a trillion dollars in hitting the nation's debt in financing this bill and who pays that cost, essentially future generations.
So
Millennials perhaps look at that and say, you know, this isn't helping me as much as perhaps it's helping other people in the sense of them having a long-term negative impact on the financial outlook.
Or the voters will decide that the politicians need to be changed because their needs aren't being met.
It's perhaps well-advertised but not commonly understood
that millennials do represent the largest group in our population.
Now baby boomers move to number two.
And one thing that perhaps is not well understood at this point is, yes, it's true.
Presumably the president signs this bill into law, and obviously then the impacts begin to hit essentially January 1.
