Uh and it's the kind of thing that lives with you afterwards if you're so if you're lucky enough to uh to to get away from it.
Um I it does raise all sorts of issues about how we deal with uh with traffic.
I mean if you remember the reaction to uh Jim O'Callaghan talking about um coming up with a specific offence uh to to to deal with this and you know the ridicule and everything else that he faced.
uh w you know, i a nonsense reaction when you think of it, because clearly that's on a different scale of offence to any other form of dangerous driving.
Of course it should be a uh uh regarded something on the lines of attempted murder, quite frankly.
Yeah, the Sunday Independent has a story uh talking about the fire doors in the main um hall or coming off the main hall, uh that they're not properly sealing.
So if there was a fire that smoke would uh ventilate uh through other parts of the building.
You know, I you you really do have to warn you.
And
Yeah, I I I I would slightly wonder whether that fault on its own could be the reason why uh that sort of delay i i is possible, although there appears to be very little sign that the place is going to be open uh any time before the end of twenty twenty seven, in any event.
Um, you know, the hope is that once it opens that people will start to take a different opinion of it when it starts to treat patients, but I don't know, it it uh it
It's it's a bad sight.
Uh it's gonna be problematic.

Well, there's quite a lot about tax and the upcoming budget.
And clearly the focus of ministers is already turning on that.
And there's a lot of talk about increasing of tax bands to 46,000 euro and that it's a particular demand of Simon Harris.
Now, that issue of increasing bands is always interesting about how it's perceived as a tax giveaway when you could argue that if the band isn't increased, it's a tax increase.
But it's certainly going to be costly and it's going to be set against the backdrop of public sector pay talks where public sector unions have already made it clear at the last talks in Dublin Castle that they have learned lessons from the fuel protests and that they are going to be pretty sticky when it comes to the talks and that they're going to be active in terms of disruption.
