These guys are pretty much, you know, the top people at the time, I guess.

The artists certainly are, yes, definitely.

A lot of the stories, there's not a lot of imagination in them.

No, it's not like crazy comic or crazy annual, which to me, I much preferred that style of humour back then.

I've still got the same kind of humour now.

But, yeah, this is, like, it's very sort of conventional humour.

And then they've got a nice little advert for the Dennis the Medicine Nasher fan club.

uh 30 peter joined in 1979 and mark hanner was a big fan he joined the blooming bino i don't know did they have the bino in america or something they did not have the bino in america so he must have got it from somewhere they film star was here as well you know so you've got it over here got it but yeah overall i thought this is a really good annual you know especially for a 1 pound 15 i'll be happy to read another one really

I thought it was really... I was surprised.

But the thing is, you know what you're getting when you buy this.

And it delivers what you expect to get, which is like top cartooning and

on all the way through, really.

It's just consistently fun and good to look at.

Yeah, loads of gags.

He was obviously slightly limited here.

They obviously said to him, we don't want all these hundreds of gags in the background business and wackiness.

We want, you know, pies in the face or whatever it is and Lord Snooty throwing snowballs.

You know, within their remit...
