But yeah, it's not Morrissey's era.

What I liked about this, and what I found a bit odd, was that the Softies, they're putting this little boat into the carnival, but they're quite happy to have a big flag with the Softies written on it.

What I like about this was they're all just throwing a load of flowers into the audience.

I think they missed a joke here because he says, haven't you got anything to throw into the crowd?

The Funny Comics Fan Club

And then they throw all these stink bombs and water at the crowd with a big page of that so you can really see what's going on.

But I think they should have said,

you got any flowers to throw out the cloud and they say no we've got flour yeah that's right i agree with you that would be better but still they have got flour in there exactly but they just don't do it do they they missed that but i mean it's a really great big picture one of the menaces says here some people have no sense of humor which i thought was a really good line

Make of that what you will.

What I thought was good about it, another really good thing about it, was that the inventive things that they did with the title panels.

The Funny Comics Fan Club

mean this one for many of the minx huge title panel and she's she's polishing the letters mini the minx and uh that's because she's the polish is to do with the story that's just coming up but what is this bit there's there's three thistles coming out of a paving i think it's a bag i think it's a bag pipe yeah there's lots there's it looks like somebody's playing bagpipes from underneath the sewer grill

god knows what that's another bit there's a there's another weird bit there's a gorilla looking around the corner somewhere there's a gorilla looking around the corner of the supermarket and also for no reason whatsoever there's a dog on a moped yeah lovely is there i mean this this is jim peachy it looks so good it looks brilliant yeah and uh but you know it's not like crowding the picture at all there's only three main elements to that one panel there you've got mini

fatty and a dog in a moment it's really brief yes i think this is yeah again it really makes clear again what we always have is they look great the artists are really good the story's not great not that good i mean they're okay i like the little touches that they have for example here a dustbin is falling on someone and instead of just saying glump he says muffled glump yes but there's a there's another baker's boy here with a tray of cakes on his head

Did that used to happen in 1979?
