I think the environment um and the or more particularly the car traits of the Alpine haven't suited them as
as well as the those of the Williams did.
And I think that um
He he has on occasion reached that level with Alpine, but it's just not you're not seeing a a steady sort of linear progression.
And that's why um if that's the distinction I was making, if it was only on performance, I certainly wouldn't be writing them off yet.
Um but I would be looking to see a
little bit more evidence and and give him a little bit more time um in the latter half of this season before making a call on it.
But he's probably done enough that in combination with what he what uh what he brings financially, uh it's made it a bit of a a no brainer.
Um so um uh he's certainly uh
someone of potential but whether he is ever gonna access that potential on a a regular basis I I don't know.
And I would be looking I'd certainly be looking around at someone and at i at uh at others and and wondering if we could get someone in um that would keep Gasly a bit more on his toes and that might uh that might
Might be an upside at the other side of it.

Um I don't think there's any urgency for that.

Their junior team is to find out um future Grand Prix winners and world champ potential world champions.
Do they think Liam Lawson is that?
I don't think they did at the beginning of this season.
He was there just because they didn't have anyone else F one ready.
He'd come off second best against the rookie Hadjar last year after being emoted from the senior team.
