And let me, Mr. Chair, let me respond because I think we're getting away from what this presentation is intended to do.
First, as our Commissioner Myers mentioned, this is in response to requests that I received from several of you.
asking what would it look like if we were to pause, delay, or scale back CRCs.
The context of those conversations was to explore
doing something else, if it's a regional rec center, affordable housing, but these are conversations that I had with you dating back to when we completed the ride to district.
So this is responsive to what you asked of me.
The second part I would say is, sure, I can come in with a recommendation, I can come in and say this is what we want to do, but also you asked me don't bake the cake fully.
You asked me to bring forward options for feedback
you give me that feedback, the team and I will reconvene and then come back with those recommendations solely based on what I'm hearing from you.
So I can't go both ways.
This is again me following up on your direction and your ask of me and that is the work that we have completed and that is what you're receiving today.
Regarding that one cent, it has nothing to do with this.
that we shifted from the debt service fund in terms of risking or having a negative impact on our capital improvement plan.
We crunched those numbers.
And as I told you during the operating budget process, during the straw votes, my team and I feel very comfortable with the shift of that one cent to support the operating budget
recognizing that we're still going to reassess the CIP.
