He was, I think, McCarthy was a quarterback coach or somewhere in Green Bay, got the OC job in New Orleans, brought in Brooks over, who was... I guess that depends on your definition of good.
Well, at the time, compared to now, no.
That was a losing franchise, and I think he turned them into winners at that point, if I recall.

Like I said, with the available candidates, I would take my chances with McCarthy finding a quarterback than any of the other ones that they were looking at.
Maybe that's why they're so high on Will Howard.
