I'm gonna I'm gonna credit you with it.

So I suggested to Michael Sonofsky that I saw in this both a hint of Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven and Andrew Dominic's assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford.

He loved that.

And I was and I was delighted that he said, Well, that we talked about both of them, but particularly Assassination of Jesse James, which is really important because Assassination of Jesse James, which was the best film of the year that it came out, is now considered to be a masterpiece.

He's absolutely a film about somebody living

With their own legend and sort of waiting to embrace their own death.

And there is a lot of that in this.

And I was really delighted that Michael Sonofsky said, yeah, absolutely, that was a a touchstone for it.

There's also, I think, a bit of um

You know, the the Lamort d'Artou, you know, the the Mallory thing, which John John when John Borman did Excalibur, right?

Excalibur was all brief, but you know, bright and shiny and mythical.

And this is all dark and doomy, but also mythical.

And it is a story about stories.

It is a story about the way in which we tell stories to each other and the role that stories what you know, why legends?

Why print the legend?

Why do we need legends?

Why do we

We need to tell stories about things that aren't true.

And actually, the film leads to a very interesting conclusion about what the nature of telling stories that aren't true might be.

And that is accentuated by the use of Jim Getty's strident.
