And it's also it's the it's more amazing even when you consider how much Siskel and Ebert disagreed about everything.

And again, it's another example of the one thing that unifies everyone.

I remember when I was working at Time Out in the early 90s, there was this really odd little Dolly Parton film with her and James Woods called Straight Talk.

And uh and I reviewed it for time out and I liked it.

I mean, I thought they were, you know, they were great.

The film's okay, it's a bit flimsy.

It's like a uh it's like uh somebody doing a a radio show in which it's only straight talk on the radio show, and she's very Dolly, and he's very James Woods before the wheels came off being James Woods.

And and it was a really sort of quirky, interesting little film.

And it didn't, you know, it didn't take any money.

I think people have sort of largely forgotten about it.

now, but when the when the news broke I remembered and I went back to my original review of it and I remember right now 'cause I think it was the first time I ever wrote anything publicly about Dolly Parton.
