sp split, to become bifurcated, and to be haunted and then hunted by visions of the thing they desire the most, namely each other.
Here is a clip from the trailer.
So, as is always the case with horror, I'm uh I we talked about this a lot when people talked about the emergence of um elevated horror.
You know, it's about something.
Horror is always about something.
And the out-of-world, the out of this world supernatural elements equate to something which is horribly down to earth.
In this case, the very real and very dangerous uh problems of homophobia and the process of the real-world gay conversion therapy, which is a subject which has previously been addressed by movies.
Like there was that brilliant Desiree Akovan film, The Miseducation of Cameron Post, which is absolutely about that.
So gay conversion therapy.
which should always be used in inverted commas, is cruel, dangerous, and as potentially
Deadly as any of the supernatural curses in this film of Leviticus.
Incidentally, Leviticus obviously re refers to the title of the biblical book, which is often cited by conservative religio religious people as being one of the places where you can find evidence that uh homosexuality is prohibited.

I mean, both both of those are films that I really, really like.
The former is a weird sort of supernatural tale of teenage sex and death, which inverts the standard tale of the hook.
And the latter is a a drama about two young boys who are more than close at school.
And as a result of that.
That they experience the people around them reacting to them in a way which causes one of them irreparable harm.
And it's a it's about the way in which people's responses to you can be really, really dangerous.
