From the initial setup, you know, hey, get over your sister's death from falling by going somewhere that you may fall from.
To the hallucinations, see previous film.
The big plot twists, which are even more obvious than the mountain that they're hanging off.
And then the second plot twist, which enables a third act standoff in which they basically recreate the rope bridge scene from Sorcerer, but higher up and without the trucks.
So the plot is laughably perfunctory.
It doesn't matter because the film knows how to make you hide your face behind your hands as people...
hang and generally stumble from terrifying heights.
I mean, the three main performances are engaging.
I mean, despite the rubbish writing, I still believed that these were real people in real danger, really hanging off things.
And I did actually find myself at one point, I'm not proud of this.
I found myself at one point whilst I was watching it and thinking, I'm not going to look away.
