Because I was, um, you know, I, I, uh, because I confirmed it and I, and I told him that I'd do it, that it gave me the sense of, I didn't want to let him down.
I didn't want to let the documentary down.
So I, you know, confronted my own fears about, about going and training and, and, and, you know, over the eight months of the, you know, the documentary was filmed, that hatred of sport, of swimming, sort of the loves came back towards the end.
And by the time I raced in April, you know, I really enjoyed every part of it.
And that was something I didn't think would happen so quickly.
And, and that's something I'm really, I'm really grateful for.
I called him out, but he's 150 kilos.
That's the process that's still unfolding, and it's something that's going to probably some people will never accept me again, and that's okay.
And that's okay.
That's their decision.
But all I can do is keep being my authentic self, keep being honest, keep...
pushing the fight, going down the channels that I'm going down now with trying to give back to the community and help kids and help young athletes not make the same mistake as I made.
And as long as I'm doing that, well, if people want to forgive me, that's great.
But if they don't, I can't stop that.
And that's something I've got to live with.
