Yeah, so they were flat out buying diamonds just twenty four hours a day, we'd just put 'em in a big bundle, run out of cash, so uh I'd take more cash up and bring the diamonds back and then we'd have to go through uh the city.

So going through the city, there was so much known about cash and transit teams and they either had diamonds or had cash.

So you were just prime target all the time.

Ah we those expats, some expats are moving diamonds of cash in the city or uh up north.

Yeah.

On one of the those days is where we got into big trouble.

What was the big

Well we I was taking eight hundred grand into a uh buying house up in Lukapa and uh uh De Bears in country manager had come from London and he wanted to visit the houses and talk to all the buyers and I was like, No no no we don't need him on board, you know, this is a problem and uh anyway I got overruled, just security manager got overruled.

So we flew up there, jumped in two vehicles at the airport, it was a high luxe and the land drivers and the land driver had a driver in front of me

uh there's a guard there uh Ken the in country manager was on the right, I was on the left and Charlie's in the back, eight hundred grand in the in the middle.

Legged it out of the airport, cruising down this little road, the dirt road and would turn right into the town.

And I remember as we're going along, I was like I could see uh in the window, a guy just rose up out of the ditch behind this little wall, had the AK, and I was thinking, oh it's shooting.

And then I sent another one and another one

And I was like ambushed, and so I was like just bouting the guy like b ambush, you know, like drive through, you know.

So I was beating him and uh so we took off and then it stopped.

And I was like, What?

By then I could see people coming at us, and then I could feel the weight uh of the glass blowing in.

By that stage, um I was been beating that guy and he wouldn't move and unbeknownst to me he was in on the deal.
