Yeah, and then the cops came along and sort of sorted them out.

Uh and then I ended up choking that guy out, getting his rifle and then jumped out and then we're just attacking the Southern soldiers and then all our boys on the ground like looking up, so then they we all sort of bombers and uh went out into the darkness and carried on uh

couple of days later got to the R V and then we we went back and then it was when we'd finished the interrogation they came in and they were holding up a boot, you know, and they said, Oh, whose is this boot?

you know, when we're in a debrief and I said, That's mine and then uh we we we they had an investigation and obviously they'd had a lot of complaints from the Scots guards, the guys that were the hunter force and um so they said, Look hey, you know, U X S we think that you led your patrol jump

jumped in the VEC or you know, you went, you know, you did all the things that are against the rules.

Um and I said, No, no, no, it's a you know joint um effort and decision but they they didn't believe me, so they said, Right, you're gonna we're gonna RTU you and um so for me that meant, you know, getting out and getting thrown out essentially.

Absolutely.

Yeah.

Well it actually really rocked the regiment a bit.

Uh because all the Kiwi boys that were badged in there are absolutely disgusted.

A lot of the Brit guys were disgusted about the whole thing and everyone heard about the story and thought, Oh, that's just unreal.
