I think it's a fine place to, you know, what is the humanistic upshot of all this?

Because on the one hand, I really like the metaphor of everybody is a world.

This is like Levinas, you know, everybody's a whole world.

And so it's, you know, to murder somebody is the worst possible thing.

But I also know, you know, I think this is a, it's a fine moral fiction, right?

I think it's something we should operate under, but I don't even, given that, I don't know how to apply it to animals.

Because if they have, I think this is what Chris is pointing at, you know, a subjective sphere, maybe it's much dumber, you know, it's much thinner in some ways, but they still have access to so much richness.

And just the fact that they are a point of view, shouldn't we have inherent respect for that?

But then how far down does it go?

Probably...

All the way down that a beetle does not have anything more sophisticated than a thermostat does.

And I don't give a shit about how many beetles I step on.

That is at least somewhere where I draw the line.

And I think he brings this up like that a snake due to its internal divisions.

There is probably nothing it is like to be a snake.

I don't care how many snakes I kill.

I feel like there are so many like between the warm blooded and the cold blooded animals.

That is a cutoff for me.

And it doesn't.
