During the, I believe, 13 years that we had some sort of rec activity, he participated at 17 high schools, all 17 high schools, most of the middle schools,
probably a third of the elementary schools in every single park that has a rectangle or diamond in the county or the town of Leesburg.
We have been there on Sunday mornings when it's 30 degrees.
We have been there on Friday nights.
We have been there at every day of the week, at every time of the hour to participate in youth sports in Loudoun County in some capacity.
It is a yeoman's effort by Steve and the folks at the towns that run their facilities to pull off what they've pulled off over these last 13 years for my son with a clear,
and without question, deficit of fields and ability to actually host everything that they do.
It's a remarkable program that we have, it's a remarkable system, and this is one more park in what I hope will be another crown jewel for us.
hope that the day comes sooner than later that we can make these fields turf instead of grass, not so that you can play year round in the winter time, but so that you can play constantly and not have a field be unusable for a week after we have four inches of rain.
But other than that, what we have learned over the years and how we've planned these parks and we've added the cricket pitches now, it's a tremendous, we're looking out for the people that are coming here
and the things that they want to do and the way they want to use these facilities and this park is just another fine example of how we're going to be able to do that my only wish and i see and i've talked about this in years past one day some way somehow at one of our parks the self-time 40-yard dash track that would be a welcome addition to one of these parks anywhere is my only hope other than that thank you very much it's a great opportunity for the county and i encourage everyone to support this thank you
