I kind of doubt that you're actually doing things that are actually working on and helping your culture.
I also think culture is one of those things that it's like fight club, like you don't talk about it.
Like it's, I'm really skeptical of people who are intentional, scientific and intentional about their culture.
Like to me, that's kind of a fake CEO thing.
Like having a strong culture is a real CEO thing.
Trying to manufacture a culture to me is a fake CEO thing.
Does that make sense?

I would say that there was this period from 2002 to 2008, at least 2007,
that was the first part of it, for sure.
I call it the nuclear winner for the Internet.
I mean, here in San Francisco, it was like they'd burn the boats and there was like it was a ghost town even more.
I mean, on the level of like COVID, but it was
there was just nobody left.
Like all the MBAs and VCs came and they left.
Like this town was the consumer internet capital.
And then it was just, you know, the post gold rush, sad, dark, empty place.
And it was in that period that a small group of us realized we still carried the flame.
