Well, there's so many dimensions that that line has meant to me that I wrote a whole book.
That's got to be the title.
So on the one hand, I think culturally, I think we're on the precipice of being able to feel like we're living just our normal lives more at the speed of play.
Speed in a good way.
I know there's speed that also is hectic, but
The idea is that life can feel like a beatdown, especially when we want to do something creative or launch a product or a company.
And in games, we get to skip all that.
We just get to the good stuff and there's really no consequence, especially in simulation games.
There's almost no consequence.
Just someone else wins more than you.
And I think that when we lower the barriers to being generative and creative, we also unlock a lightness of being and a playfulness because we can try and experiment on a lot of things and afford to be wrong.

And if this doesn't, my company is going out of business or losing my house.
It's not like that.
And it's getting less and less.
And now in the age of AI, you don't need to quit your job.
You can even simulate and see whether this idea might work before you even bother to try it.
I think Life at the Speed of Play speaks to all of that.
