I'm going to have four or five core

value plays that we're gonna run and off those core value plays we're gonna um you know we're gonna create our play action create our passing game but we're gonna really boil it down to be experts in these core value plays and you know it's interesting that resonates with me because that's the way i played or the way my team's played under mike shanahan and i tell this to people all the time we won back-to-back superbowls we really ran five plays

That's what we ran.

We just did it out of different groupings, personnel-wise, different motions, different formations, and built our play action, built our passing game off of those things to make those things look identical but function differently.

And so that puts the defense kind of in a bind.

If you can take one play – and Kyle Shanahan does a great job of this – you take one play –

and you tweak it with a different formation or a different motion, and a fullback all of a sudden is cutting off the end man line of scrimmage.

Now he's entering in to get the backside linebacker, and now he's blocking the mic backer.

You've traded one or two guys in that offense.

You've had them do something different in that where nine guys are doing the exact same thing, but to a defense that looks like seven different plays.

And so that's really what Davis Webb is trying to bring to this offense.

And I, for one, am very excited about Davis Webb.

And if he can really accomplish that, I think it really helps your offense just become experts at what they do.

Yeah, I understand.

Probably through three quarters of the season, they led the league in free and outs.

And there were a lot of things where Bo was below standard early in games and then was just lights out.

When things get simplified in the fourth quarter and you got to have a comeback, they had all those comeback wins last year.

And I think that's part of the process of

growing as a quarterback.

And Bo needs to be better at throwing the downfield passes.
