You've got a guy that really knows and a guy that has done it for a long time.
And Clint, obviously Clint Kubiak was in Minnesota with Kirk Cousins.
So they have a great familiarity with the offense.
And sometimes it's really beneficial to a young quarterback.
I mean, eventually you're going to have to play, right?
Eventually week five or six, you're going to get in there.
You're going to play because I think the Raiders are still in a rebuilding process.
But it's great to see how a guy preps, how a guy gets himself ready, how a true veteran goes out there and establishes himself.
And there's great learning that can be done from Mendoza in that standpoint as well.
So I wouldn't be surprised.

Feels like Kirk Cousins is going to start the season, but it's only a matter of time before Mendoza takes over.
And I think that's a pretty reasonable thing to think of.
But there is value in sitting and watching the process and preparing that way as well.

He makes throws that are one of one.
He makes throws that nobody else in the league makes.
I mean, he does on a consistent basis, and I understand the excitement.
Like, nobody got pissed at me when Tom Brady was playing quarterback in this league, and I said, well, he's not a very good athlete, but the guy's a phenomenal quarterback.
