A very different book to this book we'll be discussing today, Outside Looking In.
They're both historical fiction, but The Road to Wellville is a comic novel about Kellogg, the man who invented the cereal.
But if you don't know, he was sort of involved in these strange ideas about how to kind of suppress natural urges through bland food and things like that.
And he had a sort of...
I guess, a sanitarium where he would engage in these strange practices and experiments.
That book is very much focused on the humour, I guess, of what Kellogg was all about.
And I think this one, in its own way, is about kind of obsession and strange ideas, but takes, I think, a more serious route into its subject matter.
