intrigue in the wildcard race.
If you're not playing inspired baseball, you're not winning series.
I think it's going to be very difficult to gain ground.

Washington Nationals have come out and played really well.

And you look at Miami, who played great leading up to the All-Star break.
They have been god-awful, and that's what happens.
I think the big thing and the caveat really comes down to runners in scoring position.
You know it with the Cubs.
We're the same way with the Cardinals.
If you don't do well with runners in scoring position, you put a lot of pressure on your pitching staff, and sometimes that's hard to take.
Yeah, our president of baseball operations, Haim Bloom, has been very forthright in understanding he likes what the team has done to this point, but by no means are they a Cardinals team in a sense of being ready to win at this level consistently.
And that's what you have to do.
You have to try to do it.
It's a standard for the Cardinals.
You guys understand Cardinals-Cubs means a lot.
There's a lot different.
There's a lot riding on this.
