d for the first time 2012 was pretty good they're the number one defense in the league yardage wise in 2016 number three and 15 led the league in takeaways i believe in 14 or close to it uh and so they've had some good ones jp but this was not only good yardage wise points per game they finished second to the seahawks by two tenths of a point because the texans rested guys in week 18 the colts put up 30
Had they held them to 20, the Texans are winning both categories, and we're looking at possibly historic defense had they been able to advance in the postseason.

Really regretful of the way it all ended, but this defense was taking us for such a fun ride.
All the turnovers forced, all the great opportunities, all the great moments throughout.
It was really fun to watch, and they all get along so well.
It's a tight unit on and off the field.
Everybody's back other than Sheldon Rankins at defensive tackle, Foley, Farakasi, and also Tim Settle, those three guys.

If they do nothing, if they have to play a game this weekend, for instance, they have Tommy Togiai coming back and Mario Edwards returning from injury.
So those two guys right there are good starters, if you will, for them.
But I think Rankins is really important.
If he doesn't come back in free agency, I don't know what they do.
They have to find a way to at least replace him.
Not only caliber of play, JP, but also the kind of leader he is.
Rankins is great for this team.
So Rankins, Tim Settle is another good one.
