Please tell us, why did you write this book now?
And why is it the right time for leaders to change their leadership playbooks?
Yeah, it's especially challenging as women, right, in terms of how you can come across.

Let's pivot a little bit from the book and talk about your board service.
So you serve on the board of Iron Mountain, Hiscox, Relics.
In the best boards, based on our research, directors are setting the course towards increased stakeholder engagement and shareholder value.
From your experience, what are some of the top characteristics that you see with effective boards?
Well, June, I want to pivot from the boards and go back to the CEO.
You know, this year we've seen an increase in high profile CEO turnover.
Some of the big names include Tim Cook at Apple, Warren Buffett at Berkshire Hathaway, Bob Iger at Disney, Drew Houston at Dropbox and Doug McMillan at Walmart.
Based on our research, there were 77 incoming CEOs in the first quarter of 2026 alone.
That's the highest quarter we've seen in the past nine years.
