Yeah, I don't know if there's a tech equivalent of tanking because nobody actively seeks the worst tech.

They're always trying to be the best.

Because the idea is if you're a middling team, then you're not good enough to win playoff series, but you're not bad enough to get a good pick.

So you get a not that great draft pick, and then you're stuck in the middle because it doesn't change anything.

So if you're in the middle, you just start to just get worse.

Just stop trying, sit your best players, tank, get to the bottom, then you'll get a good draft pick.

Are there penalties for doing that intentionally?
