And Be Kind came. And, you know, so this was right before the pandemic. We sent it to Halsey. Halsey's like, she's like, you know, I think at the time she's like, I'm not really trying to like. You know, I'm like writing my own stuff, you know, stuff like that. But she told me, she's like, I'm like in my dressing room. I'm in backstage of this award show. I can't stop playing this demo. I have to.
And it was right. when we knew there's some, there's like a virus or something going, you know what I mean? Like we didn't really know. So she came over and we were like, should you stay on? Like there was nothing declared. We didn't know what was going on. You know what I mean? And she's kind of like slips into the booth over here. Like I showed you earlier and cuts be kind.
And she just sounds amazing. Cause she sounds amazing. And she is amazing. Like, and I was like, okay. And she was, she, we went and shot promo at her house. Really really passionate about the song she was like When you work with artists like that are like not just like transactional like yeah, I'll cut this sound cool hit Let's keep going like she's like really putting time.
She music video like she's like this whole dance. Yeah choreography And she did a great job. She did an amazing job. The cinematography in it was amazing too. She's like artistic like that. You know what I mean? Like any facet of artistry.
She sang the song. She's in the music video. She's dancing the whole time. And she did this painting. Like she is like the artist artist. Like she is just that like type of artist. And it was just so great working with her because I was like, Oh my gosh, you like, you really, you care about this song. Like, like I do, like you really do. So I love Halsey and yeah, she's awesome.

But as far as the industry plan, let's just talk about specific industry plan. Like a label gets behind, right? You have a funder, you know, something, you know, pay for this, pay for that. We started Mellow, we were living at our parents' house, respectively, you know what I mean? Like, I was at mine, he was at his. Like, he was, like, managing people, but it was, like, you know?
It wasn't this, there wasn't this, like, fund or these people or, like, label. I've never been signed. So, like, what's... What's the industry, right? It's like, what is there? There's nothing. There's no label. There's nothing. It was just us, like, grinding on SoundCloud and sending it to, like, thissongissick.com. You know what I mean? Like, old blogs like that.
